Newsletter 02/03/15

Hello all POCers!

Hopefully there are plenty of new POC members that have joined and are getting their first newsletter! Welcome!
This is what happened:
It snowed.....a lot, look out for snowyakin' emails.
This is what is happening:
If you missed out meeting last night you missed out on some fire building and some yummy s'mores! Check out our Facebook page for pictures and maybe a video of some awesome fire bending from our back packing consultants!
Also, we have a gear consulting position open! If you are interested make sure to come to the meeting next week, we will be voting for a new consultant! Any questions, let me know!!
This is what is going to happen:
We will be holding our 2nd annual bouldering competition for Holy Boulders on March 28th. This competition has everything from beginners - advanced. Come out and join in or just watch and cheer on some fellow climbers! Look out for more emails from Ryan about this.
If your into being a boat for an entire weekend and paddling your heart out, then Campus to Coast is your kind of thing! Campus to Coast is a 160 miles boat race held by MSU on the weekend of April 10-12. Teams are 2-4 people. Stephen Burd (Boyscout) will be talking about this more as it gets closer!
The kayaking lock-in is coming up! It will be this Friday, February 6th at 8 pm. Even if you know nothing about kayaking there will be pizza, swimming and hot tubbing! Cost will be $20, if you wanna attend, sign up here: 
There will be a caving trip going out on February 15th. If you don't have a Valentine, maybe you can find some love in a cave! Katherine, one of our caving consultants will be sending out more info and sign-ups soon! There will also be a caving rescue seminar held by the IU caving club. Don't forget to go to roll sesh every Monday and Wednesday from 8-9:30pm at the dive pool in the CoRec. If you aren't driver certified get that done! People who are driver certified get priority on trips! Here is a link to get this done:
